Pictures of the production version of the Chevy Volt where accidentally leaked by GM. The production car is much smoother and contoured than the concept to allow better aerodynamics. The electric car with a range extending engine will be officially unveiled for GM’s 100th anniversary on September 16th. The Chevy Volt can be recharged by a wall outlet and can go 40 miles on a full charge. When the batteries are low a gasoline engine starts up to recharge the batteries. The Chevy Volt will go on sale in late 2010.
